Confidence Building

Building your dog's confidence provides a lot of postives.

  • Strengthen your relationship- Your dog will have to look to you for guidance and trust.
  • Body awareness- A lot of times dogs are not aware that they can move their back legs independently from their front legs. Or realize that they can get up/off things.
  • Deal with uncomfortable things- Having your dog put in situations that are safe but make them uncomfortable helps teach them how to trust you and tolerate the situation that makes them uncomfortable. This is important especially if you have a shy, nervous or reactive dog.
  • Mind & Body workout- Much like the treadmill and other topics in this section, confidence building gives dogs both a physical and mental stimulation.
